Mat Pilates focuses on strength, stability, posture, and proper breath control, based on the principles developed by Joseph Pilates. Each class will work to balance all muscle groups' strength & flexibility, particularly focusing on the core and spinal strength. Pilates is a safe yet challenging fitness modality that is accessible for all levels.

At Babylon Barre, we believe that Pilates is for everybody and EVERY body - it doesn't matter your fitness level, your size, your shape, etc. Everyone can do Pilates!

Students are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat to class. Please note this class is  slightly shorter than our usual Mat Pilates format at 40 minutes instead of 45 to allow for transition time to the next class. Thank you for understanding.
